In Need of Some Nursery Art Ideas?
Your nursery art is important because it really helps complete the feel of the baby nursery. Choose art pieces and wall hangings that compliment your nursery theme or color scheme.
Here are some great places for locating baby nursery art:
Bliss Living - Probably one of the most extensive selections of baby room art work…they carry canvas art, framed art, growth charts, name plaques, wall letters, and more. Don’t miss their selection of art work that can be personalized!
Dimples and Dandelions - Another site with a ton of baby nursery art. You’ll find art, personalized pieces, wall hangings, growth charts, wall letters, plaques, and more. Their site is highly searchable, allowing you to search by theme or gender if you wish.
The Frog and The Princess - They carry wall art, decorative tiles, a variety of wall letters, wall plaques, wall/mural stickers, and more.
Don’t feel limited to putting up a few art pieces or wall hangings on the walls of your baby’s room. There are lots of other ways to accent the walls. Here are a few:
Nursery Letters - Use wooden nursery letters to spell out your baby’s name or fun, whimsical sayings on the walls.
Mementos or Keepsakes of Baby - Create little keepsakes of your baby and use them as art for the baby nursery. A shadowbox featuring things like an ultrasound picture and their hospital bracelet are one idea. Another is to put their hand and footprints on a nice piece of scrap booking paper and then frame it to hang on the walls. You could also consider something a little more unique like creating a belly cast near the end of your pregnancy and then hanging it on the wall.
Fabric - Fabric can be used in so many ways in the baby nursery and using some rich fabric to accent the walls should not be overlooked as a possibility. You can also use fabric to create fabric appliques which can be added to the walls and furniture.
Murals - Murals are an extremely popular choice for parents decorating baby nurseries. Don’t fret if you can’t paint a mural, do it yourself kits and wall mural sticker sets make it extremely easy to create a dramatic masterpiece without a ton of work!
Decorative Shelves with some carefully chosen knick-knacks that compliment the room’s theme or décor are another great option.
A nice wall clock can also be a cute addition to the walls of the baby nursery and is also helpful for keeping track of those late night feedings.
