A Parent’s Guide to Finding Discount Baby Formula

Discount baby formula is within your reach and you will likely be surprised by the two best places to find it! Amazon and eBay are two of the best places to score some baby formula savings.

Amazon can be a good place to find discount baby formula, especially if you are willing to buy it by the case. Cases of 6 cans of formula can start around $100 for the smaller size cans and $125 a case for the larger cans. They also occasionally have sales on baby formula.

But eBay can be an even greater source for baby formula savings. If the bidding goes well, you can often get a large lot of baby formula for a fraction of what it would cost you in the store.

If you don’t want to order online or bid to get discount baby formula, there are other ways to manage some baby formula savings. First and foremost, be sure to sign up to be on the mailing lists of the major baby formula companies. They will send you money saving coupon checks that will help a great deal when it comes to purchasing baby formula in stores. Here is a list of the three major formula companies and links to sign up for their mailing lists:

  • Enfamil

  • Similac

  • Nestle Good Start

When I signed up for their mailing lists, I signed up once using my address and once using my parents. This way, I got double the formula checks.

Another thing to do in order to get discount baby formula, is to start price checking the formula you use at the different retailers in your area. Prices can vary by as much as a few dollars a can at various stores. Even if you just go through a can a week, saving $3 a can by shopping at the cheapest retailer will save you $156 in a year's time. By combining formula checks you receive in the mail and shopping around for the best price on formula, you can easily save $10 a can.

You may also want to consider purchasing additional formula checks for the brand you use on eBay or swapping the checks for brands you don’t use for checks for brands that you do use on a message board such as this one at Babycenter.

There are many options available when it comes to finding discount baby formula. By using the methods mentioned in this article, your baby formula savings could easily be several hundred dollars over the course of a year.
