Belly Casting Art Ideas
for Your Baby Nursery

FREE stuff for their coming baby

Are you in need of belly casting art ideas? Belly casting has become very popular in recent years. It involves making a cast mold of your pregnant belly as a way of creating a keepsake of your pregnancy. While you can go somewhere and have it done, a much more fun option is to buy a belly casting kit and create your own belly cast. After you make your belly cast, you can decorate it any way you want to. One of the most popular options for this is to decorate it to compliment the nursery so that it can be hung in there as a piece of art work.

Here are some suggestions on how to creating your own unique piece of belly casting art:

Decorate it with Ultrasound Pictures

Make some good quality copies of your ultrasound pictures and paste them onto the belly cast like a collage.

Make it a “Birth Certificate”

Make the belly cast into a birth certificate by writing the baby’s vital statistics on it after they are born like this: Name:_____________________ Birthdate:__________________ Time:_____________________ Height:____________________ Weight:____________________ Birthplace:_________________

You could also put a newborn photo of your baby next to the information.

Incorporate Your Nursery Theme

You can decorate your belly casting art to match your baby room theme. Here are some suggestions for some of the more popular room themes:

Airplane: paint an airplane in the sky on it

Beach: paint the belly cast to resemble a beach ball or paint a beach scene.

Dog/Puppy: paint it to resemble a puppy’s face. Make big floppy ears out of fabric (fake fur would work great too) to hang from each side.

Frog: paint the belly cast to resemble a pond with frogs and lily pads

Jungle: paint a jungle scene with trees and jungle animals

Ladybug: paint it to resemble a ladybuy

Nautical: paint a sailboat on water with a sky and clouds

Noah’s Ark: paint an ark and surround it with groups of two animals

Ocean: paint an ocean scene on the belly cast with tropical fish, starfish, jellyfish and ocean plants.

Sky: paint it to resemble a planet, the moon, or the sky with stars in it. For a daytime sky, paint clouds, the sun, and a rainbow.

Sports: paint the belly cast to resemble a baseball, basketball, soccer ball, football, or golf ball.

Trains: paint a scene on the belly cast that resembles a countryside with train tracks and a train.

Winnie the Pooh: paint pooh and his friends on the belly cast.

What ever design you decide to go with, your belly casting art piece will be a unique and wonderful addition to the baby nursery wall.
