Decorating Ideas for a
Beach Theme Nursery
If you want to plan a beach theme nursery, there are a lot of great and simple ways you can give the nursery a beachy feel. One of the first things you may want to consider, if you are planning to change the carpeting in your nursery, is to go with a sand color carpet to help give the illusion of sand on the floor.
If you have wood floors or don’t want to replace the carpet in your baby’s new room, a beach rug is a great alternative for the floor.
Next you will want to consider what to do with the walls. Paint them a color that matches or compliments the beach nursery bedding that you have chosen for the room. You may also want to consider beach themed wallpaper or border for the walls. A Tropical Beach Wall Mural on one of the nursery walls is also a really great idea. You can also accent the walls with décor such as beach art work and wall hangings. Surfboards and surfboard themed art work also work great and tie into the whole beach theme.

A small child’s Adirondack chair or rocking chair with a beach themed pillow and blanket on it will also look cute in the nursery and will come in useful down the line.
