Baby Room Art Work

When decorating your baby nursery, you will want choose the right baby room art work to decorate the walls with. Finding the right art work for your walls should be fairly easy especially if you already have a theme.



Wall decorations can often be found to compliment many nursery bedding sets so be sure to check if your bedding offers coordinating art work or wall hangings.

Items that matches your theme are not your only option for baby room art work. Letters that spell out the name you have chosen for your new baby will also accent the nursery room walls nicely. Letters can often be found in many styles. Wooden, canvas or fabric letters can hang on the walls, while ceramic letters can be displayed on a wall shelf.

Growth Charts also work well as baby room art work. It’s another cute way to measure their growth and you will be amazed how quickly those little hands and feet grow.

Wall murals are another wonderful way to accent the nursery room walls. Nursery murals can be found in many shapes, sizes, themes, and types. Wallpaper murals that easily go on the wall the same as applying wallpaper. Paint by number murals can be painted on the wall just as you would paint a picture by numbers. A hand painted mural is another option if you or somebody you know is artistic. If you don’t know anyone that can paint a mural, you could always hire a muralist to paint one for you. Wall decals are another way to obtain a mural effect on the walls. Many nursery bedding set themes offer coordinating wall decals.

Finally, if you are looking for some really unique baby room art work, consider purchasing a belly casting kit and making a mold of your stomach sometime during your pregnancy. The last couple months are the most ideal time to do this but if you want, you can do several belly casts throughout your pregnancy. It is a wonderful keepsake of your pregnancy and a really great way to accent the baby nursery walls. Once you have made the belly cast, you can decorate it any way you want to. You may want to paint something on it that goes along with the nursery’s theme. If the theme you have chosen for your nursery is ladybugs, paint the mold as a ladybug. If your theme is the ocean, paint the mold to look like the ocean with fish, sharks, jellyfish, and plants. The great thing about a belly cast mold is that it could become an heirloom for you child.
