Choosing the Baby Nursery Colors
Choosing the baby nursery colors doesn’t have to be an overwhelming process. The easiest way to go about it is to first decide what your
baby nursery theme
will be.
If you do use a theme, purchase the baby nursery bedding set that goes with you theme and then take an item of the set with you to the paint store to pick out your paint color or colors. This way you are sure to get a color that will compliment the rest of the nursery.
If you choose not to go with a specific theme, you could always fall back on the traditional nursery colors of blue, pink, yellow, and green. Blue of course it the traditional nursery wall color for a baby boy and pink is the traditional shade for a baby girl.
Yellow and green are great neutral baby nursery colors if you haven’t found out the gender of your baby or if you plan to have another baby and want to avoid redecorating the baby nursery when the next baby comes along.
Color combinations are big right now. Especially chocolate and blue for a boy room and chocolate and pink for a girls. You can also have fun by using several different colors and painting strips or polka dots on the walls.
If you are having trouble deciding on your baby nursery colors, get some paint color swatches from the paint or home improvement store and take them home. Sometimes seeing the colors in the lighting and room they will be in is helpful.
